March Monthly Report: Key Activities and Developments

March 1
Bukas Kalinaw, in collaboration with BGEN Michele B. Anayron Jr. PA, commander of the 403rd Brigade, gathered data on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Brgy. Can-ayan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Approximately 36 families had been displaced from Agusan del Sur due to ongoing conflicts in the area.

On March 1, 2024, BGEN Michele B. Anayron Jr. PA and the Bukas Kalinaw staff consulted with 36 families from Agusan del Sur who are seeking refuge in Barangay Can-ayan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

March 5
As part of our conflict resolution efforts, Bukas Kalinaw organized a Peace Pact between the Gandilan-Goaynon-Delamance Clan and the 403rd Infantry Peacemaker Brigade, led by BGEN Michele B. Anayron Jr. PA. The event, themed “TUMBASA-LAMBAGA-BIGULA” (Peace Commitment-Peace Gathering-Reconciliation), aimed to strengthen the commitment of both parties to peace and development within the clan’s territory.

On March 5, 2024, during a Peace Pact ceremony held at Barangay Can-ayan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Datu Floro D. Goaynon, Datu Hu Katangkawan of the Goaynon Clan, presented a bolo to BGEN Michele B. Anayron Jr. PA as a symbol of their clan’s commitment.

Sir Regie Ortega from OPPAPRU X visited the Bukas Kalinaw Office at Camp Osito D. Bahian. The discussion focused on coordinating efforts for implementing the Transformation Program.

March 11


Bukas Kalinaw staff, together with the 1st Special Forces Battalion and DOLE Philippines, conducted an Outreach Program at Mainaga Elementary School in Sitio Mainaga, Brgy. Iba, Cabanglasan, Bukidnon. Approximately 300 school supplies were distributed to the pupils.

March 17


Bukas Kalinaw organized a Peace Forum between the Mainaga Farmers Association and the Mainaga Motor Farmers Association at Barangay Iba, Cabanglasan, Bukidnon.

March 20-22
The Bukas Kalinaw Team and volunteers underwent Social Preparation Training conducted by the Department of Agriculture-Agriculture Training Institute (ATI). This training aimed to enhance the team’s capabilities for future activities.

On March 27, 2024, the 403rd Brigade, under the leadership of BGEN Michele B. Anayron Jr. PA, presented a brand-new corn sheller to Bukas Kalinaw at Barangay Kalasungay, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. This donation aims to enhance the organization’s corn production productivity and support local people’s organizations involved in corn production.
