The involvement of non-government organizations like the Bukas Kalinaw Association Inc. has a significant positive impact in addressing crises and conflicts in society. After a series of relief operations in the remote areas of Malaybalay City, six full-time guerrilla members of the CPP-NPA surrendered to the 403rd Infantry Peacemaker Brigade through the efforts of the Bukas Kalinaw Association Inc.

These six individuals received adequate attention, including medical services, and the army attended to their needs and respected their human rights.

Our brothers and sisters who chose to return to the fold of the law were given a bright future.
